What Exactly Is Nag Champa? Indigenous to India and Nepal and deeply rooted in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, this earthy, floral and natural scent, known as Nag Champa , is sacred to the Hindu god, Vishnu. For centuries untold, it has been burned as incense in monasteries during sacred meditation and mindfulness ceremonies. Today, perfumers rely on its mystical, scintillating and sultry character for its exotic, ambery formulations.
